The different products of mango which are consumed include mango chutney, pickles, jam, squash, pulp, juice, nectar and slices. Mango is used to make juices, smoothies, ice cream, fruit bars, cakes, pastries and pies. The unripe, raw, green mango is used in the preparation of pickles, jam (marmalade), fruit drinks, and chutney.
Mango fruit can be enjoyed all alone without any additions. When eaten one can experience its rich taste and flavour. After separating the skin from pulp the fruit can be consumed directly.
Fresh mango cubes are a great addition to fruit salads. Mango juice with ice cubes is a popular, delicious drink. Pieces of mango can be mashed and used as a topping on ice cream or blended with milk and ice as milkshakes. The fruit can blend well in almost any combination of desserts.
